Library Information
Books are checked out for one week.
Students check out 1 or 2 books each week! Books may be renewed if more time is needed.
Students who want to read a particular book that is checked out may put their names on a hold list to receive the book when it is returned to the library.
Students with books over 3 weeks overdue will not be able to check out additional books until the overdue book is returned.
If a book is lost or damaged, parents will be notified of the replacement cost. As an alternative to paying the replacement cost, a replacement of the same title in the same or better binding (library binding > hardcover > paperback) may be purchased for the school library's use. "Very good used" copies are acceptable (as long as the binding is the same or more durable than the binding listed on your notification).
For instance, a damaged library bound book must be replaced by the same title in library binding. Library binding is sewn to withstand much heavier use than hardcover and paperback bindings.
